Review of the Clarisonic

Before I owned the Clarisonic I used to have my lazy days where I wouldn't remove my makeup properly before bed (bad, I know!) and my skin hated me for it. I've had my eye on the Clarisonic for ages and read a ton of reviews  to be sure that it would be a worthy investment but then I was kindly gifted it, which obviously I was super happy about. The one I own is the Clarisonic Mia 2 (in pink ofcourse!) which has two speed settings, is compact making it great for travelling and fits nicely in the palm of my hands. The difference between the Mia and the Mia 2 is the speed setting and considering the price difference between the two isn't much, it's a handy feature to have for days when you need that extra oomph.

Since I first got my Clarisonic, back in January, there hasn't been a night when I haven't used it and sometimes I use it in the mornings for a little 'pick me up'. It gives a gentle exfoliation which can be used twice a day, daily. The Clarisonic has just simplified my skincare routine. It claims to cleanse the skin 6x better than manual cleansing and I noticed a dramatic difference after the first use. And once this makes a regular appearence in your skincare regime. you don't think it is doing much for your skin until you stop using it and thats when you can notice just how much of a difference it makes to facial cleansing.

It comes with a handy travel case.

Results:
I was amazed at how well this product in conjunction with the Philosophy cleanser removed my makeup, there was no makeup anywhere to be seen when I use this combo and my face feels squeaky clean. The cleanser was gentle yet effective (which I find to be rare) and the exfoliation from the Clarisonic didn't feel like it was stripping my skin. It helps to keep major breakouts at bay. Even after the first use my skin was noticeably smooth, honestly it gave me such a confidence boost & I couldn't stop touching my face. I have dry, dehydrated skin & since using the Clarisonic my moisturiser sinks in so much better now whereas before it felt like it was just sitting at the surface of the skin. This makes a difference to just how easily my foundation glides onto the skin, making it easier to blend. It has improved the texture of my skin which is something I've always had an issue with. One of the reasons why some people are hesitant to try the Clarisonic is because some people experience a 'purging' phase where their skin gets worst before it gets better. Fortunately, and unlikely for me, this wasn't the case.

Long-term investment?
The only problem I have with it is that it is also a long term investment as you need to replace the brush head every 3-4 months. It's like a tooth brush, you'll notice when it needs replacing and I didn't feel like mine was working as effectively when it needed replacing. The sales assistant kindly gave an extra brush head with my Clarisonic, which I am now using & it almost felt like the same feeling as it did when I used my Clarisonic for the very first time. I'd recommend purchasing the Clarisonic from Space NK as you get £5 off your next purchase (with their Ndulge card). Also, they have an online exclusive offer for the Replacement Brush Heads. Usually one brush head is £21 and with the online offer you get 2 for £35 and with your £5 worth of rewards that's £30 for 2. Winner in my eyes! Collect from store and save yourself the delivery cost or spend another £30 to be entitled to free deliver ;)

The Clarisonic is my favourite skincare tool and definitely one that is worth the investment. Also, I think it's great when companies provide money back guarantee as it shows that they take pride in their products and stand by it.
